Health Insurance Information, Counseling, and Assistance Program (HIICAP)
The Health Insurance Information, Counseling, and Assistance Program (HIICAP) is a federally funded program of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). In New York State, HIICAP is administered by the New York State Office for the Aging and provided locally through the Rockland County Office for the Aging.
HIICAP provides free, confidential, and unbiased information and counseling to Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers. Trained counselors help individuals understand their health insurance options and make informed decisions.
