Creating Healthy Schools & Communities Grant
Through the end of May 2026, staff will implement the Creating Healthy Schools and Communities grant with the following community partners:
- North Rockland Central School District (NRCSD)
- Child Care Resources of Rockland
- Village of Haverstraw
- Village of West Haverstraw
The purpose of the grant is to increase access to physical activity and healthy nutrition for residents in alignment with the New York State Prevention Agenda. Grant funds will be used to improve policies, practices and environmental supports that increase access to physical activity and healthier nutrition in schools, worksites, public spaces, and pre-kindergarten programs that serve NRCSD.
