“Photo of the Month” Submissions Open for January
Submissions Open Through December 10th for January
New City, NY – County Executive Ed Day is excited to announce submissions are officially open for January's “Photo of the Month” contest, offering residents the opportunity to showcase their photography and have their work featured on the county’s official website & social media. The County thanks everyone who submitted images for December, including the above image of 7 Lakes taken by Pramod A. that was selected as the winner.
Each month, the County Executive’s office will invite residents to submit photos highlighting the beauty and vibrancy of Rockland County, with a winning photo selected for the following month’s banner.
Submissions are officially open now through December 10th for our January image.
Participants are encouraged to capture images that represent the diverse landscapes, landmarks, and seasons of Rockland County. The winning photo will be displayed prominently on our website for the following month, bringing local talent to the forefront of our online presence.
Submission Guidelines:
- Image Orientation: Only horizontal photos will be considered for the website banner.
- Usage Rights: By submitting, participants agree that their photo may be used by Rockland County without copyright limitations, credits, or watermarks.
- Format: Photos should be in high resolution to ensure quality display. Image must be 1920X670 pixels or larger; jpeg, png, bmp, tiff, tif, or svg file formats recommended.
“This contest is a fantastic way for residents to share their unique perspective on what makes Rockland County special,” said County Executive Ed Day. “We look forward to seeing the creativity of our community come to life each month on the county’s website.”
Residents interested in participating can submit their submitting images on the County’s Facebook or Instagram pages or by emailing CECommunications@co.rockland.ny.us with the subject line “Photo of the Month Submission.”
