Senior Farmers' Market Coupons Now Available
The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides income-qualified older adults with coupons that can be exchanged for eligible foods (fruits, vegetables, and fresh-cut herbs) at farmers’ markets and community-supported agriculture (CSA) programs.
The Rockland County Office for the Aging will begin distributing coupons for income-qualified Rockland County older adults at our office, 50 Sanatorium Road, Bldg F, Pomona, NY 10970:
- July 3 through September 30
- Tuesdays and Fridays
- 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Farmers’ Market Coupon Eligibility Requirements:
1. Must be age 60 or above.2. Monthly income at/or below 185% of Federal Poverty Level
i. $2,461/month (for a one-person household); Or
ii. $3,337/month (for a two-person household); Or
iii. $4,212/month (for a three-person household).
3. Must not have received SFMNP checks from any other location this year.
The coupons can be used until November 30th. Each older adult in a household is eligible to receive one booklet per season (valued at $25, containing five $5.00 coupons) if they meet the age and income requirements. Coupons are available while supplies last.
