Understanding Advance Directives

Planning ahead is one way to safeguard your rights and independence.

In observance of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, join the Rockland County Office for the Aging on June 15 for a free workshop presented by Legal Services of the Hudson Valley. Representatives from Social Services and Consumer Protection will also be present to contribute.

Learn about advance directives, including powers of attorney, health care proxies, and living wills, and gain a better understanding of how these important documents can help ensure your wishes are known and respected.
