Statement From County Executive Ed Day
"Rockland County mourns the loss of Congressman Eliot Engel, a dedicated public servant who represented our community with distinction for more than a decade.
For over 30 years Engel served in Congress which included Rockland from 1993 to 2013.
On behalf of the County of Rockland, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. He will be remembered for his enduring contributions to public service and to the people of Rockland County."
