Rockland Transit Schedules for the New Year’s Holiday

The Rockland County Public Transportation Department has announced transit service adjustments for the New Year’s holiday. On Wednesday, Dec. 31, Transport of Rockland (TOR) bus routes will operate regular weekday service and TRIPS paratransit will operate regular weekday service. On Thursday, Jan. 1, TOR buses will operate Sunday service on most routes with no service on TOR #94, 95 and 97. The County’s TRIPS paratransit buses will offer ADA service only. Regular TRIPS service will not operate. 

The County’s Transit Information Center will be closed on Thursday, Jan 1. Additional information about public transportation systems serving Rockland County during the New Year’s holidays is available here:  

Wednesday, December 31 – New Year’s Eve:

• TOR will operate regular weekday service.
• TRIPS will operate regular weekday service.
• Metro-North will operate regular service with some extra trains on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven lines. Check website. 
• NJ Transit’s Main/Bergen and the Pascack Valley line will operate holiday service with some extra trains. Check website.
• Coach USA Rockland Coaches will operate a holiday schedule. Check website.
• Monsey Trails will operate regular schedules. Check website or call 845-510-5100.
• Coach USA Shortline (Exit 14) Express will operate a holiday schedule. Check website.
• The Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will operate regular weekday service.
• Clarkstown Mini Trans will operate a regular schedule.

Thursday, January 1 – New Year’s Day: 

• TOR buses will operate Sunday service on TOR #59, 91, 92, 93, and Loop 3. Regular service will be offered on Loops 1 and 2. TOR #94, 95 and 97 will not operate.
• TRIPS paratransit buses will operate ADA service only. Regular TRIPS service will not operate.
• Coach USA Rockland Coaches Express will operate a holiday schedule. Check website. 
• Coach USA Shortline (Exit 14) Express will operate a holiday schedule. Check website. 
• Coach USA Shortline will operate a holiday schedule. Check website.
• Hudson Link buses will operate weekend service.

• Clarkstown Mini Trans will not operate.
• Kaser Village Transit, call 845-352-2932 for information.
• Metro-North trains will operate special service on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven lines. Check website.
• NJT Main/Bergen Line and Pascack Valley line trains will operate holiday service with extra trains on some lines. Check website.
• The Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will not operate.

Call the Transit Information Center at (845) 364-3333, Monday through Friday between 9 am and 5 pm, for trip planning assistance. The County’s Transit Information Center will be closed on Thursday, Jan 1.
