County Executive Day Condemns Bondi Beach Terror Attack Leaving 11 dead, 29 injured
Statement From County Executive Ed Day
“I am horrified and heartbroken by the antisemitic terrorist attack at Bondi Beach in Australia, which targeted members of the Jewish community as they gathered to celebrate the first night of Hannukah.
At least 11 people were killed and many more injured in this despicable act of violence. Hate has no home – not in Australia; not here in Rockland County; not anywhere in the world. Despite our differences in faith, background, or beliefs, we must stand united against hatred and terrorism in all its forms.
An attack on one is an attack on all and why we must stand together and reaffirm our shared humanity in the face of evil.”
