Camp Counselor (Town of Clarkstown)

The Town of Clarkstown Parks and Recreation is seeking responsible, enthusiastic individuals to join our summer camp staff.

As a counselor you will be responsible for creating a safe, fun and inclusive environment for all campers. You will lead and supervise daily activities, build relationships, and serve as a role model throughout the summer.

The work is performed under the general supervision of a Camp Director and Camp Supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum Age: 16 years old

Must Have: Reliable Transportation

Salary and Benefits:

Salary and benefits are competitive with the public sector market including but not limited to the following:

$17.50 hourly salary starting candidates
New York State Retirement System eligibility
Leadership and other professional development training
