Assistant School Food Supervisor (North Rockland Central School District)

The North Rockland (Haverstraw-Stony Point) Central School District is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Food Service Supervisors in each of our schools. These are full-time 10-month positions which include a regionally competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. All candidates must meet the Rockland County Civil Service minimum requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Six (6) months of experience which involved cooking or food preparation and/or serving of food in a school or institutional setting (e.g., restaurants, cafeterias, catering services or similar environments) which also involved providing work direction or supervision of staff. 

Salary and Benefits:

Salary and benefits are competitive with the public sector market including but not limited to the following:

  • $34,147 (minimum starting salary)
  • Full-Time
  • Paid Sick Leave and Holidays
  • New York State Pension eligibility

    Residency Requirements Expanded

    Effective with Open Competitive examinations held in October 2024, the residency requirements for Rockland County Civil Service Exams has been broadened to applicants residing within the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut at the time of application for the exam. Certain positions may still require residency in Rockland County, surrounding counties or New York State.
