The Sewer District is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Helper – Operations Department. Maintenance Helpers perform laboring duties in wastewater treatment plant operations including: custodial cleaning of facilities and equipment, cleaning sewage and sludge tanks, landscaping, material handling and snow removal, and laboring assistance as needed by Shift Operators and Assistant Shift Operators for process control operations.

Candidate must have working knowledge of the tools, terminology and practices used in maintenance; ability to use a variety of common hand and minor power tools; ability to understand oral and written directions; mechanical aptitude.

Minimum Qualifications:

• None. Maintenance experience a plus.

Other Requirements and Information:

• Possession of a valid driver’s license. Pre-employment medical examination and medical clearance for the use of respiratory equipment.

• $20.05 Hourly Salary
• 40 Hour work week
