This workshop is based on sessions 1 and 2. The workshop is focused on treating children and adolescents experiencing depression. The phenomenology, developmental variations, and cognitive models of depression are discussed. Similar to Workshop 3, using a case conceptualization to propel treatment is demonstrated and practiced. A modular approach employing psychoeducational, target monitoring, basic behavioral tasks, cognitive restructuring, and behavioral experiments is presented along with case vignettes. Both traditional and innovative methods will be explained.
